Pop or soda for your problem??

OK I have to admit this. I have a drinking problem.

No not that type of drinking problem. I don't drink too much alcohol. Not that I am against it. I just don't drink much.

But I drink alots of other liquids. I drink huge amounts of water. But my main vice has been soda. Or for those who live in the midwest, pop. I have lived in the east coast long enough that its now soda to me.

I love soda. Specifically Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr. Pepper. Now these are all diet drinks with zero calories. But I know that there is no redeeming value to those drinks.

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to stop drinking soda. Cold Turkey.

It has not been bad, but sometimes it is difficult to find a replacement. Water doesn't do it for me all of the time. And just find a good non-soda option at a fast food restaurant........

So what has been my main drink? Green tea.

Now the diet version is still not perfect with all of it's artificial sweeteners and chemicals. But I had to start somewhere.

Now if it was as cheap as soda.........

going to the member party at The Arena Club.

Olympics

not everyone likes the Olympics. They feature sports that many Americans don't like, let alone never heard of.

But to me that is what makes them great to watch. This morning I have been watching Team Handball and Equistrian. Why would I usually watch them? But I do when it is the Olympics.

In 1996, I went to the Atlanta games. There I chose Handball. It was way more interesting to see that than baseball or basketball, which I can see her in MD any old day.

sad that Bernie Mac passed away.
