So how did you meet her?
The Tenth Doctor invented “wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey,” so it’s only fitting for David Tennant to have some timey-wimeyness irl.

You Are More Than 7 Times As Likely To Be Killed By A Right-Wing Extremist Than By Muslim Terrorists
Friday afternoon, one week after elected officials all over the country tried to block Syrian refugees from entering their states in an apparent effort to fight terrorism, a white man in Colorado committed what appears to be an act of terrorism in a Planned Parenthood clinic.Though the details of Robert Lewis Dear’s motives for killing three people in the clinic and injuring nine others are still being revealed, Dear reportedly told law enforcement “no more baby parts,” an apparent reference to heavily edited videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress, which numerous politicians have cited to falsely claim that Planned Parenthood sells “aborted baby parts.” Dear’s actions, in other words, appear to be an act of politically motivated terrorism directed against an institution widely reviled by conservatives.

The unprecedented nightmare of Donald Trump’s campaign: We’ve openly begun using the F-word in American politics
Over the past week or so, something unusual has happened in American politics: political figures, mainstream scholars and commentators are describing a leading contender for president of the United States as a fascist. Sure, people on barstools around the country have done this forever but it’s unprecedented to see such a thing on national television and in the pages of major newspapers.
The bizarre spectacle of Trump’s candidacy has one word on everyone’s mind: “Fascism”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt lip-synced “Rhythm Nation,” and it was spectacular
Say what you will about Lip Sync Battle and the Jimmy Fallon-hosted Tonight Showthat spawned it, but sometimes it’s just really cathartic to watch Joseph Gordon-Levitt put on a fun outfit and dance around. That was the case on last night’s Lip Sync Battle, which pitted Gordon-Levitt against his Night Before co-star Anthony Mackie in a heated match to see who could be the most committed. While Mackie’s performance of “2 Legit 2 Quit” was perfectly serviceable, Gordon-Levitt donned full Janet Jackson drag for his performance of “Rhythm Nation,” resulting in a performance that left LL Cool J nearly speechless. As Vulture notes, JGL nails everything from Jackson’s inspirational chat at the beginning of the song to the video’s complicated choreography. It’s perfect. Really, it is.

9 Photos That Capture What It Means For America To Show Compassion For Refugees
The United States has long taken in refugees from around the world, resettling more people than any other country — a fact that may not seem obvious in the current political atmosphere.
In the latest struggle for the country to lay out its welcome mat, many U.S. state governors have said they’re unwilling to let Syrian refugees into the country because of the perceived national security threat that they may pose, citing the recent attacks in Paris and Beirut. On Thursday, the U.S. House overwhelmingly passed a bill aimed at halting refugees from entering the country. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ® went so far as to say that the country should not accept orphans under the age of five who are seeking asylum.
