On this day in 1929, the American actress Grace Kelly was born in Philadelphia. Kelly began acting in theatre and eventually moved onto the big screen, appearing in films such as ‘Mogambo’, ‘Dial M for Murder’ and ‘Rear Window’. She married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956 and quit acting to focus on her duties in Monaco. The couple had three children. Grace Kelly died on September 14th 1982 after suffering a stroke at the wheel of her car and crashing the previous day; Kelly was 52 years old.
